Starting May 1st, international tourists will be required to complete an online declaration form within three days of their intended arrival in Thailand to be granted entry.
According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), this new policy will apply to all international visitors entering Thailand via air, land, and sea routes, commencing on May 1st. Specifically, travelers must complete an online declaration through the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system at least three days before their journey. The TDAC, or arrival card, essentially contains the same information as the paper-based forms that were previously used. The key difference is that tourists can now conveniently complete this process online.

The TAT emphasizes that this new digital system is designed to streamline the immigration process, making it faster, easier, and more secure. It’s important to note that completing this online form will be a mandatory requirement for all tourists seeking entry into Thailand.
To complete the declaration, travelers can directly access the website at tdac.immigration.go.th or scan a QR code available on the site. They will then need to fill in the necessary details, including their full name, nationality, phone number, email address, and passport number, as well as their travel itinerary, which includes flight details and the address of their hotel or accommodation in Thailand. Upon successful completion of the process, travelers will receive a confirmation email containing their digital arrival card, which they will then need to present at the immigration checkpoints upon arrival in Thailand.

Once on the registration website, visitors should click on the “Arrival Card” section to begin filling in their information. If any errors are identified after submitting the form, travelers can revisit the website and click on the “Update arrival card” section to make the necessary corrections.
